Why Kinsman Legal?
David Peters named Kinsman Legal after his maternal grandfather, Ernest Kinsman. Ernest served as a stipendiary magistrate in Queensland, Australia from 1948 to 1960. Ernest was a polymath who delighted in presiding over legal cases with a mathematical or scientific angle. Family rumour has it that Ernest had badly wanted to major in science at university but was told by his mother, in no uncertain terms, that he had to enter law.
